Non Toxic Hair Products
Ive been highlighting my hair since I was ten , I’ve practically grown up in my aunts hair salon @hadasstyle and I’ve always dealt with dry hair , hair loss ( aside from thyroid ) . I’ve tried so many different masks , leave in conditioners and I honestly only felt the best for my hair was when I changed my diet . I tried so many products that would only work short term and even tried non toxic products that weren’t “strong enough” but not until I tried innersense .
_____________
My hair now is soft and smooth and I don’t need any dry hair treatment . I know it might sound difficult for us to work on understanding which products are truly non toxic and it’s taken me weeks to understand what ingredients have been in our hair products . I hope posts like these can help educate , guide and promote curiosity into reading ingredients. I mostly use the think dirty app to understand the ingredients as well when I’m roaming the store .

All common ingredients in hair products which are known carcinogens , cancer causing , endocrine disrupters , hormone disrupters linked to infertility and hyperactivity in children , and headaches (scents) . Most products on the market claim non toxic , Paraben free use the same marketing strategies as food. Although many big brands such as beauty counter , arbonne we grew to trust these guidelines go for them as well. Don’t fall for the front , read the ingredients and become familiar with what you are putting on your skin. It is equally as important as what we eat .
Scrubs, cleansers, toners, moisturizers, sunscreens, serums – the list goes on and on! We do so much for the skin on our face to prevent aging, peeling and breakouts. By comparison, we do so little for the skin on our scalp. You may have heard of the microbiomes in your gut that help break down food and release energy. Basically, a “microbiome” is the natural ecosystem of microscopic bacteria and yeasts that exists in an area. Our scalp is known for its humid climate and should be taken care of just as much our gut is .
We can all agree we hate hair loss , we want thick , not dry hair . We’ve tried masks , treatments , pills . Most non toxic hair products will not only reduce toxins but are rich in antioxidants and will help your body fight off free radicals and wether your looking to volumize , grow hair using synthetic products isn’t going to cut it long term .
